The war cry Joomla! will be heard...

We have exciting news!

We will start a 5 week study program called "introduction to Joomla!". One hour lessons will be given every Thursday starting promptly at 7:00pm. The curriculum will be posted in the next few days. Due to strong interest, we suggest signing up early. Materials, refreshments, and snacks will be provided. (And in the true spirit of open source, we accept donations.) Stay tuned... ATT> RM # is 107 and not 207 as previously stated.

I was thinking on the way home, perhaps a good curriculum add-on would be to actually build a meet-up site, or a faux site, starting from scratch, perhaps attacking it from a mock client/designer POV.... ?

We're excited to meet on the 3rd. We've worked in Drupal for the last two years and are sort of tired, it's a little dreary. In the meantime, we are looking for a Joomla guru. We are bidding on a very large project and would like to add on someone on a retainer basis possibly for the next year if we get it. Need to come down to our office one afternoon a week, but balance of work offsite. (Hope it's not rude to post work here, my apologies if I have made a social networking blunder)

I would like to thank everyone for coming. The smart room (computer lab) provided by MiraCosta College is a wonderful atmosphere for learning more about Joomla. Please tell your friends about us, so we can make the most of the technology. Great meeting everyone and see you next-time.
    •  Really great! Felt like we shoulda passed the hat for our impromptu teacher!
    •  Thanks to Tony and Jacek for setting this up. I had a good time teaching, and look forward to our next get together! jerry
